Vintage Art Deco RARE Morpho Butterfly Wing Sterling Screw Back Earrings

These striking iridescent bright blue Art Deco screw-back earrings with Blue Morpho butterfly wings under glass cabochons are in a sterling setting. See STERLING mark photo. The only marking is STERLING. Thomas L. Mott or TLM the marking for the English originator of Morpho butterfly jewelry in North America cannot be found on the back of these rare earrings, however, they could likely be made by him as it has been found that he usually only like to work with sterling silver. However there is no proof of his marking on the earrings.
The changing colors, the iridescent nature of the Blue Morpho butterfly wings is a part of its magic when viewed in different light.
These are rare in that it is extremely difficult to find earrings of this age that have not been damaged by water and are a matching set.
